Premium Patio & Landscape Transformation
This project showcases a comprehensive exterior redesign, taking a disjointed backyard and evolving it into a sleek, high-end outdoor living space. By combining structural masonry work with professional landscaping, we created a seamless transition between the home and the garden.
The Evolution: From Dated to Designer
The original rear of the property featured several challenges that limited its potential:
Small, Standard Openings: The back of the house originally had standard windows and a lack of direct, expansive access to the garden.
Uneven Terrain: The garden consisted of overgrown grass and unrefined edges, lacking a dedicated area for seating or entertainment.
Wasted Space: Significant portions of the yard were underutilized due to a lack of structural definition and proper drainage.
The Transformation: Precision Masonry & Landscaping
We executed a multi-phase renovation to completely redefine the property’s footprint:
Structural Structural Alterations: We removed existing brickwork and windows to install massive, floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors. This involved precision steel lintel installation to support the new, expansive openings.
Premium Porcelain Paving: A large-format, marble-effect porcelain patio was laid across the entire rear width of the house. This non-porous, slip-resistant surface provides a high-end look that is incredibly easy to maintain.
Integrated Drainage: We installed a discreet, high-capacity slot drain system along the threshold to ensure the new patio remains dry and protected during heavy rainfall.
Bespoke Garden Office Surround: The paving was extended to wrap around the garden outbuilding, creating a unified architectural theme throughout the entire outdoor space.
Turf & Fence Refresh: We installed professional-grade timber fencing for maximum privacy and laid fresh, vibrant turf with crisp, defined edges to contrast beautifully with the cool gray of the stonework.
